Yesterday, we talked about the near-magical abilities this new skincare hottie has when it comes to treating skin discolorations. Now today, we’ve lined up three of our favorite products containing this powerful ingredient. Before we dive in, make sure to give a dermatologist a call before adding any of these to your cart to ensure these are suited for your skin.

Up first, we have the Tranexamic Overnight Treatment from the ever-simple brand, The Inkey List. This beauty right here combines tranexamic acid with 2% vitamin C derivative and 2% antioxidant-rich acai berry which works to improve skin clarity and even out skin tone. In the form of an overnight mask, this high-performance product is guaranteed to leave you with a more even skin tone within 2 to 3 months. Being fragrance free, it’s suitable for all skin types, even the sensitive ones.

Secondly, we stumbled across this budget-friendly lightweight serum from Good Molecules: The Discoloration Correcting Serum. As the name already tells you, this serum treats discolouration and it does so by combining our tranexamic acid with niacinamide. Unlike our overnight mask, this serum can be used in the AM and PM, so it layers well underneath other products. As with our Inkey List overnight mask, this serum can be used by all skin types, even for those with sensitive skin.

The last product (but certainly not the least, especially with that price point) is the Peter Thomas Roth PRO Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment. This product is quite pricey but definitely worth it because it combines several ingredients that target skin discolorations such as kojic acid, alpha arbutin and niacinamide. This makes it the most effective product on this list and it’s promised to give you results in as little as 6 weeks! I definitely wouldn’t mind splurging on this product. However, because of its strength, being cautious and easing your way into a daily use is the best way to use this product and if you have sensitive skin, avoiding this product completely might be your safest option.

Eager to try one out? Whatsapp our dermatologists and let’s set up a routine for you.
