No New Acne in 3 Weeks & a 20% Reduction in Acne Appearance.

The Problem

Client, 24, explained to us how he had teenage acne and grew with it to adulthood. With an initial understanding of his skin concerns via our skin analysis quiz, we used the skin information he provided to create a skin profile, which included his skin type, lifestyle, skin history, and skin concerns. This is essential because every skin is unique and needs to be treated as such, we will use this profile to benchmark his progress as his skin journey proceeds. The key skin concerns we highlighted for David are:

  • Whiteheads
  • Papules
  • Blackheads
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Sensitivity

The Need

The first step was to share his skin profile with our skin experts, this helps the expert prepare for a consultation. Virtual consultations make it easier and faster to find and schedule a skin consultation session; in this session, the expert tries to understand in-depth the problems the client has identified thereby ensuring he gets the help he needs as quickly as possible.

During his consultation, we realized, he tried using a lot of products at a time without knowing what exactly he needed to treat his skin condition which left him with more acne and a sensitive skin it was identified that hormonal fluctuations coupled with food allergies and acne eruptions in reaction to products triggered his acne, which left him with a lot of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Oftentimes, understanding the extent and how long a client has tried treating a skin concern, we approach treatment empathetically because we know how stressful navigating skin concerns and conditions can be. We ensured the client felt safe and heard.

The Solution

We recommended an AHA/BHA cleanser, a BHA spot treatment for the acne, and Niacinamide.

Additional recommendations were AHA treatment to regulate sebum production and clear hyperpigmentation, essence, a moisturizer, and sunscreen for hydration and protection from UV rays. We had his products delivered to him within 5 days.

Client Progress:

No new Acne in 3 weeks and a 20% reduction in acne appearance

David has been on this skincare regimen for three weeks now, He has not gotten any new acne which is an improvement since new products trigger his acne. whoop whoop!

So far we have seen a 20% improvement with the clearing of his acne. He is being consistent with his routine because it’s important for achieving the best results. We will be tracking his progress for the next three months to record more improvements. He also has the option to reach out to us if any unexpected changes occur, so stay tuned for updates!

Client says, “I have a plumper, softer skin. A little more acne but not in new areas, so very much purge like. I’m slowly seeing some changes in tone as well, the skin consultation really helped me to be conscious about sticking to a routine, especially in how I use products and the concentration of each step. I can now stop winging it on my own”
