When it comes to clearing hyperpigmentation and dullness, there’s no better ingredient to help us with this than our good old glycolic acid, which we spoke about in detail last time. So here are our top 3 picks for the best products to revitalize our skin with:

Up first we have the COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid, this lightweight k-beauty toner is packed with a safe 7% glycolic acid, some apple fruit water for hydration and more brightening and a solid amount of niacinamide to also work on strengthening our skin barrier. This fragrance and cruelty-free vegan toner is ideal for any skin type (although our sensitive skin types will have to really pace themselves to avoid irritation) and can be used in the AM or PM.

Next, the Acne.org AHA lotion has us jumping in delight with its ingredient list packed with skin-loving ingredients like Licorice Root Extract to boost the brightening effect of glycolic acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), and moisturizing Squalane. It does leave a bit of a greasy residue, making it ideal for use in the PM only and for dry, combination and normal skin types (sorry, oily skin babes).

Finally, leaving the best for the last we have the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel. This gel right here, is formulated with a soothing blend of ingredients like chamomile, green tea extract and aloe barbadensis leaf juice for minimal irritation and its gel texture makes it a perfect quick-absorbing, no-residue match for oily skin and can be used both in the AM and PM.

As tempting as it can be to add all these items to our shopping cart, glycolic acid can be very irritating to our ski if we don’t get it in the right concentration. Just have a consultation with our skin specialists and have them recommend the best products out there that’ll be a perfect match for your skin.
